From my eye - a doctor...

I always hear peoples say that doctor is one of the profession with high income. But what do this peoples (the doctors) think?

Firstly I'd like to tell you how the doctor's life begin when their career starts, which is called internship. They have to start working at 7 am to start round all the bed that they in charged to before starts ward round by the specialist. After finishing round, they'll move to clinic duty. How many patients attend that clinic that day, will determine how long they'll be in the clinic. Sometimes, the clinic even finish up to 4 pm. Just before finishing daily job, they'll check the bed again just before going back home daily. If there is a patient that need extra attention that day, they have to stay back a little while to check them.

Well, this is a basic daily routine for a doctor. Oh wait, is this all? No, of course not. Doctors also have overtime which they called on call where basically they'll need to work all night, and if tomorrow is a working day, they also need to work on that day. So sum up, they work more than 36 hour in 2 days!

Wow, what a tiring job eh.. So, when do they have their time to enjoy themselves? I'd call this work as a work with no life. They sacrifice their life for the sake of others in need. What a noble job. Although they do get paid a little higher than other profession in government sector, but just imagine their life. They deserve to be paid much more than that. I felt sorry for them.

Oh wait, did I mention when the doctors are in line for duty, they risk their life for many lawsuits? We have to admit that we are just a human. We do make mistakes. Human errors is just part of ourselves. But for doctors, they couldn't afford to make any mistake. Because in this line of duty, mistakes sometime means fatal. And when something wrong happen to the patient, normally the patient's family always point out that the doctor makes mistake. Maybe yes and maybe no. But can you imagine after working 36 hours, how can you keep up. Do they ever imagine?

I'm not saying that the doctors isn't to be blamed. But please imagine what they'll go through once they enter this line of duty. Doctors, my advice is please keep your head in the job. And to care giver, please put yourselves in the doctor. What would you do if you're in their position.

I, myself have 5 medical doctors in my family. I've seen them all my life. How they struggle to get the grades to put themselves inside this stream, then they struggle to keep themselves in this stream during studying medical, and finally struggle to fit in this profession after start working. Life's full of struggle. And now, I felt sorry for them that they have to face all those things - variety of illness, many types of behavior of family and patients, and of course, lawsuits.

Hail to the doctors (they should have doctors day..right?)
