My Trip to Bandung..~

Here as I say before, I'd like to show several pictures the places I've visited in Bandung during my visit last december. I stayed there for about a week.

Here's a picture of me, my brother and my mom just in front of Bandara Husein Sastranegara Military airport Bandung. Bandung is a 2nd most crowded district in Indonesia after Jakarta and it is located in Java Island. As they don't have their own international airport yet, they shared it with the military airport.

The first day, we were brought to Gunung Tangkuban Perahu. Well, this is the view of the inactive volcanic crater. The air here is intoxicated with sulphur smell. Some of them felt shortness of breath due to this smell. Actually, during this visit, it was raining heavily. So the smoke that came out from the volcano couldn't be seen clearly.

Well, this is the hallmark of Bandung. Gedung sate. Not like Malaysia, sate is something we eat right? Here, the gedung sate is a goverment office. Its kinda like a Majlis Perbandaran here. Because of the shortness of time, we couldn't enter this place. So I just take a picture just outside the complex.

Here's a picture of all my family who went there. My father actually having food poisoning. So if u can see at his face, he looked kinda dull. By the way, this picture here shown me and my family and behind us is the Volcanic crater Kawah Putih at Gunung Patua. There's a white lake-like area. Actually its a inactive volcano. You can touch it but be sure to do it at your own risk because its hot. The elders here said that the volcanic waters which you can gather here is a cure for many illness. Its seems like they don't need a doctor around here anymore.heh. So guys, come here if you want an alternative medicine.

Well, there's a story why I put this picture. There's a corner at Kawah Putih's area where this cave is situated. I came here to have a look. There's a sign there to warn visitor not to stand too close to the mouth of the cave. But I kinda ignored it. Suddenly a air wave suddenly gushing out of it and a very strong and thick sulphur smell came out of it. Its just like a dragon breathe. heh. I almost fell in the cave because I couldn't stand the smell.
Actually this cave is used by the japanese to mine sulphur to use as a gun powder to fight to dutch who has been invading Indonesia. As japanese couldn't win the World War 2, and Hiroshima and Nagasaki were dropped atomic bomb, they finally fallback to their own country. The Indonesian Government has made this cave as one of their historic attraction at Kawah Putih here.

So, this is a few places I've visited at Bandung during my visit. I was satisfied because I got what I came here for. I enjoy the nature here and shopping is definitely fun here. Malaysian, we are millionaires as we come here. And plus, there's so many factory outlet here. Branded, souvenirs and everything here are cheap for us.heh. So this is the place you want to go if you have a chance.
